Learning ROCKS in
Mrs. Stinson's Class!
I am excited to be teaching 5th grade at Nadine Johnson and I know it's going to be a fantastic year!
I will be teaching English Language Arts/Reading/Social Studies and my Math/Science team teacher will be Mrs. Parris. I care very much about the students in my class and it’s my top priority to make sure that all students feel safe, successful and cared about.
A little bit about me:
I was born and raised in West Texas and my family relocated to the Austin area from Midland, TX a little over a year ago. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Child and Family Studies from the University of Texas of the Permian Basin. This will be my seventh year of teaching and my 1st year in Fifth grade. (I previously taught Kindergarten for 3 years and 4th grade for 3 years.) I have a wonderful husband who has put up with me for almost 11 years, two awesome kids (who also go to school at NJES), a cat name Pumpkin and a dog named Hunny Bun. I love to read and my favorite book is The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane by Kate DiCamillo.
I look forward to having your child in my classroom! Feel free to contact me at any time with your questions or concerns.
