Assistant Principal

Jennifer Stowers

Hello! I am Jennifer Stowers and I am incredibly honored to have the opportunity to serve the Nadine Johnson Elementary community as the campus assistant principal! I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Education in 2012, and my Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction in 2020, both from Sam Houston State University- Eat ‘Em Up, Kats! I completed coursework to obtain my Principal Certification through Lamar University. I began my educational career as a proud Hutto Hippo 13 years ago down the road at Farley Middle School and spent 10 years there in the classroom, gaining experience through teaching sixth, seventh, and eighth grade Language Arts, Social Studies, and Reading Intervention as well as gaining leadership experience as a department chair and PLC facilitator. I have spent the past two years serving as the Instructional Coach here at NJES, and through that work, I have gotten to know our fabulous students and families. I am thrilled to continue to uphold our campus mission of Building On Our Methods as I support the students, teachers, and families of Nadine Johnson in a new way.

I have been married for 11 years to my patient and supportive husband, Sawyer, who works as a Systems Team Leader for a building technology company. We have two children: Coen, who is 7 and is in second grade at NJES this year, and Bennett, who is 4 and is in Pre-K at Little Hippos. On the weekends, you can find us outside! I enjoy gardening and listening to live music, and our family spends most of our time with the kids’ sports, going to the lake, fishing, and spending time in Rockport.

My goal is to promote a school environment where students feel welcomed, engaged, and challenged and where families feel included and equipped to support their students in the way that encourages them to flourish and grow as leaders. I believe in continuing to cultivate strong relationships with students and families and supporting our fabulous staff as they inspire our learners each day to work to their full potential.
